How does it work?

Step 1: Signup for EZ-Login

For both the registered and trial versions, EZ-Login is accessible from anywhere you have a internet connection. EZ-Login runs in the iPhone and all major browsers including: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera. EZ-Login is hosted on Google Appengine and uses Google Accounts to manage your EZ-Login profile. All sessions are encrypted using 128-bit SSL.

Step 2: Create a EZ-Login for yourself and others

EZ-Login helps you create a login bookmarklet. With EZ-Login you can create as many bookmarklets as you would like. This allows people who share computers the ability to create individual EZ-Logins and login to their own websites on the same computer. In this step, you can create a new EZ-Login, select an existing EZ-Login or import a EZ-Login. If you choose an existing EZ-Login, all of your previously AES encrypted data is retrieved from our servers over 128-bit SSL and cannot be decrypted without your password.

Step 3: Encrypt your individual EZ-Login

Each EZ-Login is encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard ( AES ). You will create a unique password to enable this encryption for each EZ-Login. This password can be as simple or as complex as you want. No one else will be able to retrieve your EZ-Login data without knowing this password. AES, based on the Rijndael algorithm, is the tightest security currently available (approved by the US government for classified information up to 'Secret' – and in in 192 or 256 key lengths, up to 'Top Secret').

Step 4: Define automatic or password prompted login

At this point, you will define whether or not you want automatic login. Automatic login means you login with just 1-Click. Anyone sitting at your computer can login to your account. Password prompted login is more secure, and allows you to share a computer with others without compromising your privacy. You will enter a passcode each time you want to login. This option is great for families and roomates who share a computer, but don't want anyone seeing their email, facebook, etc.

Step 5: Decide whether to save your data offline or online

By default, EZ-Login saves your data offline, within the EZ-Login bookmarklet. That data is encrypted using AES 256-bit encryption. If you need to add more websites, or change any passwords, you can simply click the EZ-Login bookmarklet from your EZ-Login page to import your data. You also have the option to save your data online within your EZ-Login account. That data is encrypted with AES, and stored to Google's Appengine servers using 128-bit SSL. To retrieve that data you must be logged into your EZ-Login account and enter your master password to decrypt your data.

Step 6: Define your websites, usernames and passwords

Here you define the websites pages that you login to, your usernames, and your passwords. You can create as many websites as you would like* ( Internet Explorer has some limitations ) EZ-Login comes preloaded with hundreds of website login page definitions. You can simply select those websites from the drop down list, or if you don't find your website it the list, you can copy and paste the login URL right into this field. After that, you simply enter in your username and password. When you are finished, you will push the 'Build EZ-Login' button, and your EZ-Login will be created!

Step 7: Attach the EZ-Login bookmarklet to your browser

Once you build your EZ-Login bookmarklet you simply need to bookmark / favorite it in your browser. If you are using Firefox / Chrome you can simply drag it up to your bookmark bar. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will right-click the EZ-Login, and select 'Add as Favorite...'. Once completed, you are finished, you are now ready to login to your favorite websites.

Step 8: Login to your favorite websites

Go login!! You will navigate to your websites login page. Simply click or select your EZ-Login Bookmarklet. If you have enabled Password prompted login, EZ-Login will prompt you for your password / key. Enter in your password, click 'Ok', and EZ-Login will decrypt your credentials and log you in right away. If you selected Automatic login, all you do is click, and you will be logged in immediately.
